Day 4 - June 25
Finally, our first full day together as a group!
Our morning started with an acting workshop at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, where many of our students had the opportunity to demonstrate their theatric prowess in activities with Globe Theatre resident actors. A visit to the Tate Modern museum also happened this morning, along with a walking visit through the Bankside area of London.
After a QUICK lunch, our group headed off into an Electives session, with some visiting the Tower of London to see the iconic castle and fortress, and also neighboring Tower Bridge, one of the most iconic structures of London, built between 1886 and 1894. Others visit the British Museum to see one of the world’s largest and significant collections of antiquity, including the Rosetta Stone, LOTS of sculptures from the Middle East, early and pre-Renaissance prints and drawings, as well as a large number of items from Asia. Some chose to independently explore London, including shopping, museum hopping, and for some, a NAP!
Y’all, we TIRED. It’s been a combination of LAX nightmares, jet lag, LARGE group management, and the fatigue of a packed schedule, but we’re looking forward to getting more and more adjusted to life on tour. Our kids are doing great, despite our early hiccups, and tomorrow is a brand new day at Oxford and Harry Potter Studio Tour.
