Day 3 - June 24
We’re finally all here! We haven’t yet had an opportunity to take a good FULL group photo yet, but that’ll happen today.
After dealing with the purgatory of LAX and a cancelled flight, our group is finally all here in London. Flight Group A arrived here yesterday afternoon around 10am (earlier than expected), and we sent them running to try to get caught up. We’re tired and more than a touch emotionally drained, but we’re back on the path to an awesome experience for the 128 of us!
So far, our groups have visited Westminster Abbey, The Victoria and Albert Museum, and the National Gallery. We’re very much looking forward to now doing activities TOGETHER! On deck tomorrow are the Shakespeare Globe Theatre, Tate Modern, Tower of London, British Museum, and a fish & chips dinner!
Special shout out to our Flight Group A Chaperones Julianna Beebe and Emily LaSalle, and a very special thank you to Lana Farfan for helping with everything at LAX, from getting kids booked into hotel rooms, fed, and safely transported back to LAX for the flight our here. I cannot fathom where we’d be without your leadership!
