Day 8-10
As you can tell, I’ve fallen way off the schedule for posting updates… It’s just been so hectic, managing a handful of Covid cases, (mostly) anticipated daily itinerary changes, and keeping up with our group of 128 passengers. Still, I wanted to give some details of our time here.
Day 8 was spent in St. Malo and Mont St. Michel. We had some free time in St. Malo to find bread, butter, sweets, and other goodies, then we drove over to experience the special place that is Mont St. Michel. We gave a performance at L’Eglise St. Pierre within the walled city of Mont St. Michel, then an informal performance in the refectory of the Abbey on the Mount.
After a rainy yet lovely visit to Giverny, Day 9 found us arriving in Paris, the City of Light. We split the group in two for dinner and a Seine River cruise.
Day 10 was our first full day in Paris, beginning with a visit to the Opera Garnier, home of the Phantom of the Opera! After a decent chunk of free time, we gave our last performance of the tour in La Madeleine. We then walked through the Jardin de Tuileries on our way to dinner.
Day 11, the last day here, is almost entirely a free day, with many Electives going on. I won’t lie: this tour has been quite the challenge, but I know our group has had some great opportunities to make memories. We’ll all be back to you in Long Beach shortly!
